how does one draw the line between discipline and meanness?

it is very difficult to say "NO" to children but that is a word that needs reinforcement very often. children will never be happy being discipline.a common response to a stern warning is a stream of tears running down their chubby cheeks.however you will have to keep a tab on your emotions if you do not want the child going out of hand.

a very fine line divide meanness from disciplining.the difference lies in the way the scolding is administered.

soft-hearted parents need to realise that when they say"NO"it is only because the act the kid was about to perform was not right.this is not being mean,it accounts to being a good parent.however do not humiliate the child and sweeping statement as that accounts to being mean.
